The type of personal information we collect


We currently collect and process the following information:

Grant applications
When you apply to 10Giving for a grant, it is necessary you to complete a grant application form and supply us with the following information:

- The name and address of the organisation
- The name, address and contact details of a suitable contact
- The names and email addresses of suitable referees
- Other relevant contacts

If the grant application is successful, you will need to supply the following information:

- Bank account details of the organisation
- A grant application progress report.

By accepting a grant from 10Giving you agree that your personal information (as listed above) will be retained in a safe and secure manner by 10Giving for a minimum of seven years. After this period we will either delete all electronic copies and/or shred paper copies of your information.

By accepting the responsibility of providing a reference for your organisation or personal application, you will need to inform your referees that their personal data may be retained by 10Giving for a minimum of seven years. After this period we will either delete all electronic copies and/or shred paper copies of your information.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

How 10Giving processes your personal data

The Trustees and Charity Administrator of 10Giving comply with their obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation by:

Your personal data will be treated as strictly confidential and will only be share with others in order to carry out the grant application process, which you have applied for.
